Many examples of H-M synthesis described in the content at the link. Nathar Wali was a Sufi saint who was respected by Hindus. His shrine is near the Rock Temple in Trichy. Near the Rock Temple there are two sacred indentations--according to tradition one is a footprint of Lord Vishnu and the other of Nathar Wali. Hindus participate in the celebration of Nathar
Wali's urz festival. (Urz is an annual day of celebration in which religious songs including Sufi qawwali are sung and the shrine is decorated with garlands, flowers, etc. This day of celebration is associated with the death anniversary of a Sufi saint.)
