P.S. Indian drug price control covers most commonly used Abx, HTN, DM Dyslipidemia drugs. 130 drug list is NOTHING. The prices of drugs given to those seriously hospitalized and in ICU are still prohibitive (by Indian standards). For ex. the "Clot-busting" drugs given to heart attack patients in Indian ICU costs around 4 to 10K Rs per dose. There is hardly any price controls on Lab and radiologic services (that shouldbe easily doable as no patents or phoren companies are involved in these). Medical devices - stents and artifical ortho devices are ridiculous to say the least (by Indian standards).
