In the above, read from verse 41 onwards for a description of the Mother Goddess by Adi Sankara. Verses 1-40 of this work ( Soundarya Lahiri) are believed to have been composed by Lord Shiva according to tradition while the verses from 41 onwards are believed to have been composed by Adi Sankara.
