Asked if  Gujarati students faced difficulties in learning Chinese, Trivedi said sentence construction patterns of the two languages are similar.

Lavanya Trivedi is an interesting name. The surname is a common one for Brahmins in UP, while the first name is not so common in UP but more common in SI. I personally know two Lavanyas who are Tamilians. Perhaps Lavanya Trivedi is the product of synthesis.
