The English-language article at issue was published Oct. 15 in the Afghanistan Express, which bills itself as “the voice of a more hopeful generation.” It was marked as “Opinion” and titled, “The Islam of the Taliban and ISIS.” 
“To become a Muslim you have to confess that no other God exists but the God of Muslims,” the article states. “Literally every Muslim believes that Jesus, the God father, Maria and no other God on the planet is tolerable but the God of Muslims. So, there is no room for negotiations here. Some can say that it is like taking Nazism to another level.”

“Maria” apparently refers to the Virgin Mary.

The article goes on to critique whether the Islamic faith provides too much space for groups such as the Taliban and the Islamic State to flourish.

“I want to talk to their God here. What type of God you are? Are you insane?” the author asks.

“We are OK without God,” the article concludes. “Because, God did not stop the World Wars, it was human beings who reached to this conclusion to do so.”
