Was driving to work this morning. Single lane roads. 45 mph. Cruising. I see a truck, much bigger than mine, driving on the opposite side of the road. While it approaches me, must have been a 100 feet away, and it begins crossing the yellow lines and coming towards me. Dunno what was the deal with the driver, he didn't seem to be on a cell phone. By the time I process his movement and think about shifting/braking/honking, he is 50 feet from me and coming straight at me. Suddenly he realizes his mistake and goes back in his lane.
I continue driving to work and overeat as usual in the holiday lunch. One more second, if he was distracted one more second, and right now I would be lying somewhere dead or almost dead.

The only scary part of this is, you do read such things in the newspapers.
