This picture depicts Akbar, who was also a great scientist, expounding on the radical new heliocentric theory and simulating a solar eclipse by jutting his head between the sun and the earth. Shortly after this, he also simulated the rotation of the earth while in a spirit-ual trance (see spirits on the side), so accurately captured in Jodhaa Akbar.

His depiction of sun and he moon and putting himself in the middle, as my former muslim friend told me, proves that he encouraged hinduism and saved it from its complete disappearance.
