arvind subramanian is inarticulate, and seems incompetent and ignorant. he does a lot of hand-waving and head-shaking, and agrees with alacrity with everything pronnoy roy, a journalist, suggests, probably to avoid giving rational explanations.

s'manian waffles on the question of why the gdp growth rate for 2015 is now forecast to be 8%, while a month ago, it was forecast to be 5.8%. he vaguely attributes the difference to a change in the way the CSO (central statistics organization) accounts for the gdp, without actually admitting that the growth rate, computed in a different way changes from 5.8% to 8%, or asserting that the new budget allocations will bring about at least a part of the increase.

the man is unable to explain anything adequately. he is essentially saying, "they gave me bad data," and "the dog ate my homework."
