Ironically, the most criticized and defamed president (perhaps next only to Hoover - the only other Engineer) earned everyone's respect by his "presidential" work after his presidency.

I cant think of a single guy in the world who talks ill or criticizes Carter today. History has shown the bad economy was not all his making - what after the Nixon, Ford, and Vietnam.

BTW, the National Debt was 800 Billion when Carter left presidency - which Reagan criticized every day - the Founder of the modern ruins of US Culture and financial world.

he is a christian. i don't ever remember him saying that other religions are inferior. there aren't many american politicians who have been a force for good in the last fifty years. carter is a rare gem.
