These numbers are quite revealing, especially, % of population that has health coverage, assuming the standards are much higher than that of a typical govt. hospital in India. Indian middle class is only 3%?! Looks the earning range used here is different than the one used by the other entities.

China's economy is four times bigger than that of India. 
Singapore opted for capitalist path in 1960s. South Korea followed. China opened its economy in late 70s. 
Congress and socialist nehruvian policies kept India locked up till 1990. Even after that whenever Nehru progeny got power, they created hurdles for free economy. Finally India threw them in dustbin and gearing up for growth. It may take time but India will grow despite corruption and congress obstructionism.
Check in a decade. Indian story will be different.

Irrelevant but  let me remind you that India isn't a communist country like China nor run by an authoritarian govt. like Singapore. Would you like to trade democracy for those benefits?
