i r'ber watching this movie … i was most likely pregnant at the time. watched it alone at home on a very bad vcr print from a desi store. that and tv were the only "furniture" in our living room at the time, of course alone with a tv cabinet and a set of dining table and chairs in the adjoining dining room. but liked the movie. funnily, fast forwarded pretty much all the songs except this one. was very intolerant of songs in movies at the time. after returning the movie saw the songs on a desi tv show and was like hmm they were good songs, why didn't i watch them. So after this movie, i began watching songs again.

this song and chal chaiyya chaiyya make me very nostalgic. i remember the cassette cover of taal made aishwarya look like she wasn't wearing anything and we drew a long skirt/lehenga on her.
