"I love you....
....Trust me, I really really do"
(Really? You make me sweat buckets, raise my heat beat, have me panting for breath, tire me out till I feel like I am going to pass out and you say you love me?). I give a disapproved look.
"Are you doing ok? How are you feeling?"
"WHOOO!!" I shout. That's more of a 'I can't take it anymore', than a 'I am doing great' shout.
"You look great! love you! love you! love you!!"
(yeah right!)
"Bend your knees. Open up your chest. Keep your body stable"
I check myself.
"Are you breathing? It's important to breathe. Don't stop breathing!"
I remind myself to breathe.
"Can you count with me?"
("Noooo!!' I shout within and express the same with my eyes)
"Yes you can! Come on...let's count together"
"FIVE....FOUR...THREE....TWO...ONE...."I shout out the numbers. It actually feels good because it helps release the strain.
"Shall we do one more set of this?"
"NOOO!!"
"Yes we are! Got to push yourself. It's going to make you stronger."
(okaayyy!) "EIGHT...SEVEN...SIX...."
and it goes on.....
PS1 : Don't know what kind of chemicals the brain releases, but at the end of this torture, it feels soo good! I feel exhilarated, contented and happy. There's something about workouts that's addicting. Crazy!!
PS2: (btw, that's my bodyworks and abs class instructor (woman) and me along with 15-20 other women in the class who sure feel the same as me)

LOL! That was the intention. I wanted to write something naughty, taking the events from my workout classsmArtha wrote:Reads 'fifty shades of drill'
It's only the bodyworks (weights and strength training) instructors who keep telling us that they love us. That's probably (most certainly) because the classes are so torturous and it's their way of encouraging us. The more brutal the instructor is, the more she keeps telling us that she loves us .

Looks like these instructors know all the barriers that women can break with the magical 'I Love You' ;-)

i have mostly had hard core ones, whether men or women ... 'what, you can kick only this high? kick HERE? HIGHER.'. or, 'How many more months are you going to stick with 10 lbs? Take 15 for this one'. Nothing more love-full than, 'you are doing great!' These are coed classes.
Funny incidence of one time when i went to a random sports place where they held free classes. this was 2013, for perspective. Summer of 2013, to be more precise. Kids were away for like 5-6 weeks that year. At work, was handling a big new project, which meant 5-6 developers giving me random headaches. Which also meant i used to work until 7-8 pm daily, easily. And weekends too. I was a consultant, and had taken some vacation, so this also served as my make up hours so as not to lose pay. Plus, i didn't have wfh access, which meant i was going to the office for hours, literally 7 days a week.
So i went to this random sports club one evening after work to one of their 'free' promotional classes. This was a kick boxing or some such class, where you did mock combat moves. In between, I was EXHAUSTED. I would cut back or cheat on many moves. I was also finding this one move hard to do which was an action of slamming someone to the ground, and i think follow it with elbowing them. Forgetting the exact move. the instructor goes, 'think about who has wronged you today. think of them. think you are slamming them to the ground. take all your anger out today. Yeah!' he kept saying that over and over. This was a coed class too, btw.
And thought i did. About a very earnest but too junior a developer on my team. I used to spend like half my time in sorting out their issues to meet the deadlines. And that day one of them had messed up royally. And while to him i kept a calm front, as he was a really young guy, making typical rookie mistakes. but inside i was RAGING mad, as it meant more and more work for me. So when the instructor said to think of someone you want to slam right now... oh man, the POWER i got at that time. With full rigor i was slamming the rookie down. Over and over and over. And then i died.
*aah*

actually i overheard a convo of a punju couple, where the aunty kept on calling the uncle gadha, and a lot of other offensive words, but kept interjecting them with, 'but i still love you. don't know what i am going to do about that'. learned a lesson that day. haven't put it into implementation yet.

Case of woman believing that what works for her works for her man

idk, seemed to work. and they are still together. pretty sure this was not the only time she cursed him. i have not tried implementing this yet. i usually don't curse someone on their face unless i am supremely angry, and am in no state to play tactics at that time.
happened to one of my cousins too. e'time they argued over any small thing, she would go, 'but [name], i love you so much!!!!'. argument finished. they did get divorced. She left one day, after stealing his mom's jewelry (while he searched all over for her fearing for her life), then didn't divorce him for 3-4 years, just coz. but the story is good now. he got remarried to the most chill girl ever born, and they have two kids.
