Should Hindus stop worshipping Lord Rama ? Empty Should Hindus stop worshipping Lord Rama ?

Lord Rama chopped off the nose of Surpanakha, cut off the head of the sudra sage Sambuka, threw his pregnant wife Seeta out of his home, killed Vali in an ambush--after concealing himself amongst some trees like a coward and hurling an arrow at Vali-- who was then engaged in a fight with his younger brother Sugreeva.

How can such a person be worshipped as a God? I have no objection to the worship of Lord Krishna, Lord Shiva, Lord Hanuman, and other gods and goddesses of the hindu pantheon. But reflecting upon Lord Rama's antics just fills me with disgust.

wrong. the original ramayana is the valmiki ramayana which is in sanskrit and so the sanskrit names have to be followed when writing about these people in english.

The flying talking monkeys were supposed living in Southern South Asia. They must have Tamil names.

The monkeys were living in Karnataka (and not Tamil Nadu). Here:

Kishkindha (Kannada: ಕಿಷ್ಕಿಂಧೆ Kiṣkindhe; IAST: Kiṣkindhā, Devanagari: किष्किन्‍धा) is the monkey (Vanara) kingdom of the Vanara King Sugriva, the younger brother of Bali, in the Indian theology of Ramayana times. This was the kingdom where he ruled with the assistance of his friend, Hanuman.

This kingdom is identified to be the regions around the Tungabhadra river (then known as Pampa Saras) near Hampi and belongs to Koppal district, Karnataka. The mountain near to the river with the name Rishimukha where Sugriva lived with Hanuman, during the period of his exile also is found with the same name.
