Can bulls / oxen be used to harness energy?

Perhaps someone can shed more light on using the surplus bulls and oxen to produce electric power etc. -- http://www.geocities.ws/lamberdar/animal_power.html
This will not only save these animals, but also have them become a reliable, renewable and environment-friendly energy source, unlike the nuclear power, or even the solar and wind power sources which run only when the conditions are right. Moreover, the animals (bulls etc.), used to produce energy, will also be a good source for manure etc. used for land.

That will make them slaves!
May be, they should convert Jallikattu into an energy generating sport. Considering that bulls weigh a lot, they can be made to run on floors that generate energy via the weight of the animals (and the of the Jallikattu fanatics who run around at the same time). Jallikattu fanatics can have a competition among themselves in the evening of collecting the dung that is dropped on the floor by the bulls and use it to generate cooking gas. This way, they all get some exercise, won't suffer from hypertension, diabetes, etc., use renewal energy and contribute to Swacch Bharat.......
