Will the GOP congress step up and stop him? I don't think they will.

But forget about the congress? What about the folks here who've been supporting him here on CH just because the liberals need to be punished? At what point does it stop being a liberal or conservative issue and become the survival of democracy?

no. the russia probe/investigation is a waste of resources and media air time and print space. it is a witch-hunt with the only end purpose of liberals feeling relieved that they are not responsible for the loss of election. the sooner we forget it and move forward it is better for everyone.

Excuse me it's not just the the media and the liberal public. The entire intelligence apparatus of the U.S. govt has acknowledged that Russia interfered with the U.S. elections. Are we just supposed to ignore all that and just be satisfied with assurances from Trump supporters that all is well. Intelligence agencies, Trump supporters -- gee that's a tough choice! Who should we believe?

First Trump said it wasn't hacking.
Then he said it wasn't the Russians. When 17 agencies said Russia, he said it could be China or 400-pound guy.
Then he said, Russia, if you are listening, find those deleted emails.
Then he said he wasn't briefed.
Then he said it wasn't to help him.
Then he said he had nothing to do with Russia.
Then he said there was no collusion.
Then he said he can speak for himself, and the Russians.
His surrogates are now saying, if he colluded, it is not a crime.

So excuse me if I don't want to take Trump's word for it.
