Well, this is anticipated. Modi and Jaitley didn't really treat CBN well. They didn't cooperate with Polavaram & didn't do much to help the state according to the AP re-organization act. A private poll conducted by TDP concluded that it can win in AP assembly election on its own in 2019. So, CBN might have decided to end the alliance with BJP. He has been uncomfortable with Jaitley for the last 3 years.

I think Modi (Shah?) is making a mistake. BJP doesn't have much of a base in AP. The people are upset that the central govt. hasn't helped the sate since 2014. So, in both Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, BJP will lose in AP.

Yeah. Looks like CNB is forced to make some tough decisions. Mondi and Jhutley probably don't care if BJP doesn't get any MPs from AP in 2019; Shah may be estimating that BJP will have a comfortable majority on its own. If Mondi loses in Karnataka assembly election, BJP wallahs may come down from their high horses (BJP can't afford a separatist movement in SI).

CBN's hand is weak (unless BJP loses in K'taka). Also, Jagan is trying to ars-lick Modi. So, TDP is trying to hang-on to an unfaithful spouse until the election. Also, Pavan Kalyan indicated that his party will contest in 2019 (essentially for Kapu vote in Godavari districts). Both CBN and Shah will try and form an alliance with Jana Sena. However, CBN has the votes in Krishna, Guntur & Prakasam in Kosta and Chittor in Seema. Jagan has his strength in Kadapa and can be the spoiler in Anantapur & Kurnool). So, if Jana Sena forms an alliance with TDP, they will win in 2019. CBN is playing the waiting game. Hopefully, the seething anger of Andhra people will last until the budget session ends (in 20 days - too long for Andhra guys - they should learn a thing or two from KCR :-). In all likelihood, they will do what Lagadapati did.......

Jagan's no-confidence motion is just a farce. BJP has unbeatable majority. CBN is being harassed from all directions (Modi, Jagan, Pavan Kalyan, etc). Modi is playing games. CBN has very few options left. If YCP opts for no-confidence motion and TDP doesn't support, Jagan will make a lot of noise in AP. If TDP supports the motion, that means, TDP is leaving NDA. So, CBN will soon announce the departure of his party from NDA. The average Andhra fellow must be wondering when there will be some relief from all these politics.

I won't be surprised if there is a CBI investigation into CBN's Heritage company (just to harass him). It may well be a component in the "Operation Garuda" plan that Shah/Modi are putting in place. However, CBN will come clean (he has been releasing his finances every year). Modi is wasting his time holding a grudge against CBN. AP will build a world class capital and show the finger to Modi.

Yesterday, blocking the highways was a success. I have a feeling that this time there will be a real agitation across the state. Modi's image is already damaged and he is also fighting his battles internally (Modi recently insulted Advani in public view).

South getting together? I am not all that optimistic. While TDP and YCP are trying to introduce a no-confidence motion, AIADMK is playing the game for BJP and blocking its introduction. When asked, leaders of that party said that AP's special category status is not TN's priority (actually, Jaya was one of the leaders who opposed it in the past).......

I feel sorry for CBN. Looks like Modi is playing games. He is pretending to cozying up with Jagan & Sai Reddy (two criminals who should be in jail). He wants CBN not to succeed in 2019. So he is not releasing funds related to the AP re-organization act in a timely fashion. On local Telugu channels, some are saying that Modi wanted BJP to get more MP seats in 2019 but CBN refused to budge. So, Modi is screwing CBN and the state.

In reality, BJP has no base in AP and Modi knows that in 2019 his party won't get many seats. So, he doesn't really care what happens to that state. He successfully used AIADMK to stall parliament so that CBN's no-confidence motion is not admitted by the speaker.

Yesterday, CBN has been quite incoherent in his discussions with NDTV, Goswami, CBN, etc. For a progressive CM, his English is really poor. May be, he should do what Kamaraj Nadar did - speak in his mother tongue and ask someone else to translate into English/Hindi.
