just curious... what is the average wedding cost in india, for a business type family.

not talking about gareeb Brahmins like us... neither am talking of the bigwigs with multi state/country businesses or politics or movies. But in general, say baniya or rajasthani/punju business type communities. Wedding (and gifts) costs only, no dowry.

1/2 crore? 1 crore? 5? 10?!! Shocked

1/2 crore not including properties is lot of cash for any middle/upper-middle class to splurge on a wedding, there will be cases where they may spend half a crore or more than a crore but I don't think average will be 1/2 crore.

BTW, there are many communities that are as poor or poorer than Brahmins.
