>>> Tragic and sad as it was, but "had there been no long term violence (including killings etc.) against many Hindus in Punjab in Sikh separatist movement during early 1980s, there would be little chance for a few days' unrest and riots against Sikhs in Delhi immediately following Indira Gandhi's assassination by her Sikh bodyguards in 1984." ... Many politicians were seen recently making much noise in media and outside about 1984 riots in Delhi against Sikhs, but they made no mention anywhere about the earlier long term (early 1980s) anti-Hindu violence in Punjab (attacks, killings and driving out Hindus from Punjab by Sikh militant separatists) which sadly and tragically morphed and spilled over briefly as anti-Sikh riots in Delhi following Indira Gandhi's assassination by her Sikh bodyguards in 1984.

So unfortunate that the long-term (multi-year: during early 1980s - till 1984) violence and killings of Hindus in Punjab (such as taking down Hindu men in large numbers (in dozens) from buses and shooting them to death, attacking Hindu households in villages in the night and looting and killing everyone inside, leading to many Hindu families in villages move as refugees for safety into big towns and cities in Punjab and outside, having the interstate buses (such as between Himachal and Delhi, which previously used to pass through Punjab due to a shorter route) totally bypass Punjab while taking a longer route to avoid attacks on bus passengers from Sikh militants, and many Hindu men in Punjab taking to grow longer hair and use other Sikh symbols to avoid easy detection from Sikh militants, ...) in the Sikh Separatist movement (with a huge financial and other kinds of backing from overseas Sikh organizations including in U.S.A., Canada, Britain, Australia, 'West' Germany) ultimately spilled over while morphing as anti-Sikh riots briefly in 1984 immediately following Indira Gandhi's assassination by her Sikh bodyguards. Compensation is certainly due to the Hindu families and victims in Punjab from the Sikh separatist movement and an investigation into its overseas financiers and supporters.
