Do Indians get influenced by a barrage of exit polling results when they go to vote?
Are they fundamentally different in how they process information compared to the American voters?

ban polls

ban debates

ban opposition meetings

ban interviews

ban TV

ban print media

ban anything that exposes madam and Shazada.

and finally ban polls (elections), which is what they really mean when they call for ban on "exit polls."

Yeah, but I was really going for an adequate explanation of the "fig leaf" - the ostensible rationale that Congress is drumming up to defend its request.

The exit polls initially in the 90s had 50-50 chance of prediction...Razz

But, these days they are far more reliable overall and nation or statewide. But, it breaks down locally at the constituent level and caste level.
