this is absurd considering that there are many common features to NI and Tamil culture. There would be no kambaramayanam without the Valmiki Ramayana for instance.

this coming from Mulaiman should give you a hint about the contents of the story.
I will take a stab at the translation ( I have tons of work to do and I always slack off when there is work to do).
Babu (name changed) is a prof at Tuticorin. Gal (name withheld) goes to a college in a nearby town called Sattur. Gal goes to tuition classes conducted by Babu. Gal and Babu get pally-pally. Babu videotapes the events and threatens the gal. Gal is forced into becoming a meal for Babu's friends *this sentence is a literal translation from the tamil text*. Gal complains to her parents and relatives. They beat up Babu. Babu is under custody.
