If What Jayalalitha achieved is Phenomenal, what Mamata accomplished is nothing but a miracle.

To defeat the Communists who have been ruling for 32 continuous years and against their tyranny - single handedly - is nothing but a miracle.

Hope the two lady dictators do more for their states than their predecessors.

Time to Dump Mayawati - she is a disgrace compared to these 2 women.

Jaya had the same level of majority before (together with Congress) in 1991. Left had been ruling Bengal for 34 years so Mamata's win is a bigger accomplishment.

I wonder why people are falling over each other in pointing out how intelligent and articulate Jaya is. She was good in academics and after so many years in public life this is not new. However this did not stop her from being corrupt and high handed. People marvelling at her simplicity have forgotten her "son's" marriage (250 crores spent?). Hope she does better this time. Mamata has not track record for governance and she will have a difficult time with her feelings driven decision making.
