Societies that empower the individual unleash a tremendous amount of potential and capitalize on synergies. The main issue for them is to guard against systemic abuse. Thankfully, open economic and political systems have the ability to tweak themselves as they go along, even if at times this may be slow. Closed systems like Marxism, on the other hand, stifle the individual. Further, their ability or willingness to change is dependent in the hands of a few at the center of he power structure. In the end, the proof of the pudding is in the eating.
