9. Could be Bengal or Assam.

Re: Wednesday Filler Trivis
Thanks Mr. Indo.
I was surprised to hear from someone in a conversation, long time ago- that states like Bengal and Assam were high producers of rice, even more than the Southern States in India (as I had assumed).

Re: Wednesday Filler Trivis
Why call this a "filler" trivia? This is as good as anything else posted and should be made the "official" one.
In other words, I escape from posting one this week.

Answers.
- What did Gandhi say when he was asked what he thought of western civilization? ---- It's a good idea.
- What are two letters that appear in the alphabet of almost in every Indian language, but not in Sanskrit? ---- The vowels - short (hrasva) “eh” and “o.” Sanskrit has only their elongated versions. Interestingly, both short and elongated versions of those vowels appear in almost every Indian language.
- What was the first human organ to be successfully transplanted? ---- Kidney, in Chicago in 1956.
- In bowling, what is the technical term for a split when pin numbers 5 and 10 are left standing? ------ Woolworth
- What was the Allies password when they landed on the beaches of Normandy on D-day? ---- Mickey Mouse
- How did the word “umbrella” come about? ---- “umbra” is the latin word for shade. Umbrella is an endearment (don't know why). Also, originally umbrella was invented for shade (not for rain). Wonder what they did when it rained before umbrellas were invented.
- What is the origin of the word “radar?” ---- Radio detecting and ranging
- What is SPAM an acronym of? ---- Spiced Ham
- Which is the only U.S state to produce coffee? --- Hawaii
- What state in India produces most rice? ----- West Bengal
