Breakfast: Plan for kuzhi paniyaram got nixed by Amma. Instead, steaming idlis, coconut chutney and pearl onion sambar with ellu milagai podi as an optional thottukafy item.

Lunch: Avial, medhu vadai and thalichafied thachi mum with vadu mangai pickle.

Dinner: Chappatis, potato/beans/green peas curry and sakkarai pongal from Iscon Temple.

What is your hatred level on a scale of 1 to 10, Impy?

Vathha Kozhambu with appalam pieces and (!) paruppu urundai
Avarakka paruppusili
Diced Urulai curry
Tomato rasam
Thengaa thogayal
Cut Maanga 'pickle' (homemade)

After mixing with 200 undulating bodies in low lighted full open bar space with black tshirted buxom and lithe waitresses serving Bruschettas and drinks, thank god it's friday!

so, the bar thing happened last night, and u got divine food at home today (assuming it's divine, dunno half of what all that means). Life is balanced and beautiful for you!!!

me:

breakfast: home made sandwich, with store bought wheat bread, peanut butter and grape jelly.
lunch: home made alu-green chana sabzi with 2 store-bought rotis.
snack: chewing on a fiber one bar.

I need a life first, will worry about balancing it later.

mm, not so jealous actually. i do not like idlis so i did not care for the breakfast. i love avial but would have preferred to have it with adai. i did not care for your north indian dinner:-)

Listen, i am having company over tonight. I am going to serve milagu jeeragam rasam, potato curry, poricha arisi appalam and kutti vengaya sambar. and then we go watch a thamizh movie in the theatre.

Cool. I might go to see a Hindi movie in the same theatre around the same time. Or maybe I will be getting out when you are going in. Will see if I could spot you.

Yes.

Thot a dollar a drink was the norm. I have cheated sometimes, would not give a dollar e'time. Mostly coz I would run out of them.

You don't tip at hosted open bars. You tip at paid open bars. And you can always tip at the end.

My earlier company would do one free drink, buy the rest, but the other one was all free drinks, whether it was in a bar, or in a company conf room. I tipped the same at the bars, and I saw almost everyone else doing it too. Although it's always so crowded, hard to keep track. That's how I managed to cheat w/o feeling guilty. I don't remember tipping at the company conf room parties.

Nah...just like actresses playing nuanced characters. Jessica Brody character is a fine study of a wife who struggles with her husband's emotional absence (and possible desertion) with her own budding and cautious curiosity with new beginnings. While Claire Danes is definitely the star, her Juilliard classmate is no less talented and makes the most of her airtime. Her willingness to strip at every available chance is bonus.
