"heard" that one company fed up with quality in its India operations, is planning to bring "most" of the jobs from Bangalore back to US. This is a major MNC with some 1200 employees.

The frustrations over the last 2 years will be turning into re-action over the next few years.

there have been many such reports in the past - some MNCs not happy with the call centres and some not happy with the s/w coming out of india. but that does not mean anything. these are not threatening just yet. ignore them.

i agree that india's IT talent is average and their business is primarily because of price arbitrage and not quality. however, things aren't as bad as you paint them. india got a very good headstart over others (china, philippines etc) and that will continue to prove advantageous for some years.
