I was thinking about my obgyn and how she endlessly drives between her offices and hospitals, and compared it to docs her age in india and how they have it better with drivers. I thought if she had a driver, she could avoid stress from driving, or driving under stress.

Also, kids... omg, they have classes, games, what not. If there was a dependable driver, life would be so much better.

Then I began thinking which one would I like the best. I am still thinking.

Voted. Currently it is Driver. Would be nice to have kids be home safe from school and visit friend, library, classes, games, mall during daytime without me having to be there all the time.

voted daily dish washing and cleaning.

I am a great cook...yes, 15 years of cooking experience.

We take turns in driving to school and classes.

H is an okay dhobi - he does the kids clothes and his. I do my laundry myself.

I love being a maali.

I hate dishing but have no choice. The H hates more.

I do shopping. He takes care of the bills.

Tution is no biggie. Too many apps, too many softwares and always google for help.

I like being a member of the gym rather at home yoga instructor.

Same thing with salon.

Others - I wish that my side of the family (my Mom and my siblings )were here (not with us). When you argue with your H you can go to your Mom's place/Brother's/Sister's place. That convenience is not here in US. Also, I miss out so many occasions and celebrations like birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, treats, waching movies, serials, watching over sickness of your little sister and so on.

Men would have Voted had I put rashmun in the title somewhere. Evil or Very Mad

What kinda luxury men looking for that they had in India but not here? Here, most men help out at home. I included landscaping/massage/driving kids/chores. The men I know would love to have someone come and do a oil/no oil head/body every massage morning.

Good reasoning there sasthi. Any other time I would love a cook too. But my needs are different currently.

I think they miss the shaving and salon. They have their families with them - atleast parents stay with them.

at home cook buys grocery too.

bills are paid online anyway...mails can be dropped at work..laundry is oce a week so i picked cook..bcz cooking is everyday

Cooking doesn't take time it is the cleaning up after that. In desh most of my friends have maids for everything but cooking. Imagine the maids do all the prep work like veggis cuttings, masala preps, and arange everything in order and one gets to just cook - how amazing is that!
