If Gandhi chose the democratic path and did not oppose a referendum, there would not have been such wide violence.

You seem to be ignorant of the facts. Elected representatives of the people decided which province went which way.Kayalvizhi wrote:If Gandhi chose the democratic path and did not oppose a referendum, there would not have been such wide violence.
If Gandhi, Nehru and Patel were responsible for Partition, that would be one more thing Indians -- including Tamilians -- should thank them for.

The 500 kings were given that choice. There was no region...remember there was no Tamil Nadu at that time - which you were blabbering about. The Madras State consisted of the entire present day SOUTH INDIA.
Of course...look who I am talking to ... the devotee of the Criminal butcher called Pirabhakaran.... just like the Butcher, you are also totally confused.
