the topic here is lighthearted and you probably meant this post to be humorous. i'll let it go. but this is an excellent example of your methodology. one instance (or incredibly limited information) = proof and/or conclusions with far reaching implications.

there is a slightly impolite proverb in tamil which describes this behavior perfectly -- to take flatulence and make a rope out of it. in other words, pure alchemy.

What this means is that according to the Hindu the word can be spelled as either 'dosa' or 'dosai'. Both spellings are OK.
