WL journal
I know I have done this before, i.e. kept a such journal sorta to lose weight. But this time it's different.
Weight goal -> X
Current weight -> X + 25.
Deadline -> Dec 31 2013.
Motivation -> BFF offered $1000 in cash, plus 50 odd gift certificates.
Will update every Friday morning.

Re: WL journal
Relatively easy to take off...difficult to keep off. Bad contract - bff should have insisted on reaching X and staying at X for 3 months with periodic weighings.

Re: WL journal
Bff was worried if I go back to x+25 by dec 31 2014. I said the solution is to take those 50 gift certs before that.

Re: WL journal
Heh.
I am trying to keep an account of my meals and snacking, the frequency and portions. Plus whatever little exercise I do, along with tracking if I am moving around and about or not.
1.5 lbs in first week. Not bad IMO considering I do want to keep it at a pound a week.

wow that was february. I went up to X + 28 in July before coming down to X + 19 now.Vidya Bagchi wrote:I know I have done this before, i.e. kept a such journal sorta to lose weight. But this time it's different.

Will still lose the bet. 19 lbs is not happening in 3 months, but don't care any more. After a long time I wore a sleeveless top y'day and felt good about it.
Point proven. There is no bigger motivator than the fear of getting diabetes.

Re: WL journal
In July, I decided I am not going to set any weight loss goal. I will live a day at a time and try to keep a decent out to in calorie ratio. Having done that, I will simply accept the pace at which my body loses weight. I lost 8-9 lbs in 8 weeks, and those were the easy pounds. Obviously I am slow with these things, so no point in setting a goal or a date and get frustrated. It may take me 1 year to lose another 19 lbs, don't care.Marathadi-Saamiyaar wrote:25 pounds in 4 months - Jijubi...Vidya Bagchi wrote:I know I have done this before, i.e. kept a such journal sorta to lose weight. This is a step in the right direction. Setting up goals is one way of setting yourself up for failure.Vidya Bagchi wrote:In July, I decided I am not going to set any weight loss goal.
This is the only way to go. Some people live four days at a time or ten days at a time and that leads to burnout.Vidya Bagchi wrote:I will live a day at a time

Yes. It is god's will.
Exactly. Setting goals and targets is pointless because failing to meet them leads to frustration and that is so detrimental to overall happiness and well-being.Vidya Bagchi wrote:so no point in setting a goal or a date and get frustrated.
