basically bombay did not have good drainage even then.

theory.. since bombay is famous for its monsoons..led to lots of wet sarees songs in bollywood. That led to wet t-shirt contests in the west.

Bell-bottom suit, really? Maybe that's why he didn't care about messing it up on the rain. I assume the drainage problem is even worse now. The silver lining is that the traffic looks bearable.
