The Vadra Scandal
...
In October, Mr Khemka cancelled Mr Vadra's deal with DLF. The bureaucrats say Mr Khemka's decision was incorrect, partly because he did not allow Mr Vadra or DLF to present their version of events. Their report will be studied by the government. Mr Khemka says he will challenge its conclusions.
In the same article:
In the deal with DLF, Mr Khemka alleged that unauthorised officials had
signed off on the mutation of the land from Mr Vadra to the real estate
major; he also raised questions about why the government appeared to
have bent the rules for Mr Vadra, processing his Change of land use
documents at lightning speed and licensing him to build a commercial
housing project on his plot of 3.5 acres. That licence, granted just a
month after Mr Vadra bought the land for 7 crores, added such dramatic
value that just three months later, DLF paid 58 crores for the plot.
When was the last time anyone got a building license approved by city/panchayat in a month? When was the last time any ordinary guy able to buy land from the govt. at Govt rate?

There is no proof against Vadra-ji. Stop behaving like a mango man of a banana republic and criticize such a wonderful man.

Re: The Vadra Scandal
If I recollect this correctly, the allegation is even more serious. What I heard is that DLF sold the land to Vadraji at 7 crores, Vadraji used his influence to get its status changed, and then DLF bought the same land back 4 months later for 58 crores. So over a 4 month period, there is no change of ownership, but Vadraji received 51 crores as commission for getting the land rezoned. If DLF had not gone through the sale-and-purchase transactions and simply paid Vadraji 51 crores, that would be clearly illegal, not just corrupt. But what DLF and Vadraji did was to find loopholes and exploit them brazenly.Marathadi-Saamiyaar wrote:...

But you should wait until the courts convict Vadraji before you start punishing him. That's just the sort of upstanding man you are, and we don't want you to lose that, do we?

I thought Modi didn't buy any property. Doesn't he and his mother live in a small apartment? How can he be compared with Vadra the great? If Vadra can make money for people like he made for himself, India can borrow his "developmental" model and really say - garibi hatao.

Re: The Vadra Scandal
Guruvu-gaaru, I am saying the great Uppili method of "considering people innocent until proven guilty in court" and "not criticizing someone until a court pronounces him guilty, even though you yourself totally believe that the allegations against him are true" should apply to all allegations of illegal behavior, or to none. Do you disagree with that?Vakavaka Pakapaka wrote:trofimov wrote:Guruvu-gaaru, thank you for holding Uppiliji to his own high standards. While I believe modi should have had "information", my belief is not conviction. Same goes for Vadra. I am sure he is guilty but my surety is not conviction.
People voted Modi thrice and vadra is yet to win anything. That is why I am not calling for a boycott of Vadras and not asking him to stop working like I dont ask Modi ji to stop working.
Now you see the difference? If not you are always welcome to seek the help of the brilliant Maulana Merlot - the Chief iSlamic Apologist and Lobbyist in SuCH.
