Sundar Pichai will replace, not will succeed Andy should be written. Another guy from India aggressively moving thru the company and replacing founder, co-founder. Sounds so familiar.... They come and try to replace their manager or boss immediately. And now how many "Sundars" Sundar will bring with him and replace Andies. 300,000 H1B visas granted in 2012 , primarily to people like Sundar. INFOSYS has 13000 employees on H1B visas in USA . At the same time we have millions of people unemployed and yes there is for sure at least one of them better than Sundar.

in the globalized world, you will find similar things.. immigrants starts new company in US.or manage effectively and move up the ladder
Not just in the IT, you can find in other professional jobs.. This is not a new thing in US. may be Google news provided the visibility to everybody on these news.. which again invented by Indian heads Google Map and Search engine.... Google tried many products and scrapped 70+ products from the line of business....i think it is more a competitive market

What a bunch of typical IT code coolie idiots.

Mr. Pichai did not come here as a H1B from a Code Corporation. IIT-K is given all the credit, forgetting his MS at Stanford and MBA from Wharton...

A code coolie from INFY would be still toiling away coding, and the IIT-K guy who came here would have been a manager at some place - at best. It is the Stanford and Wharton that add Pizzazz to his resume.

The sooner the "Stupid" Indian media and the equally idiotic code coolies realize this need for a REAL challenging education, the better it is for the country, and more the chances for them to succeed.

Pitchai - with just an IIT-KGP would be peeing in his pants on the stage instead of dazzling his audience through his Wharton and Stanford training.

P.S. Still all the IVY league MBA's should be banned.

Uppili,
that post comes across as purely bitter and jealous. Sundar is successful and we congratulate him. There is no need to go irrationally ranting about stage performances.

1. How is that in places like Wharton and Harvard business schools, most of the kids from India doing MBA are IIT alumni?

2. The guy competed with more than 100,000 kids and made it through JEE. Even though he might not have secured very high rank in JEE, imagine the level of confidence that achievement would have given him.

3. He also passed out with a silver medal from IIT KGP. That would have been a great boost to his self confidence as well.

So the IIT stuff has played a huge role in shaping who he is today.

BTW Mukesh Ambani also went to Wharton. Do you think he would have dazzled the audience like Pichai?

Note to Carvaka: Stay away from SUCH forum and focus on getting ahead. You can also reach greater heights like this Pichai guy.

>>> what's so great about Warton? Isn't it the same spineless outfit which sometime ago canceled Modi's visit after being pressured by a few radicals?
