It is a surprise to know that the largest selling newspaper in the world
is....not and Indian one or an American one, but from Japan-Yomiuri Shimbun. I would
have thought actually the most circulated daily would probably be from
China, followed by Times of India, but to my surprise not just the top,
but the top 5 spots belong to Japanese newspapers. WSJ and NY times
figure much later in the list (wiki). This is indeed surprising given the
population of the countries mentioned above.
