Well, it turned out to be a movie watching day for me, when I had actually planned it to be errands-packed. Shows how much dislike I have developed for any kind of driving, after the marathon driving for 3 weeks.

Anyhoo, had been wanting to watch this one since 1990, when it got all the nominations back then. Finally got my chance, and liked it too.

Isn't it classic, old folks constantly nagging about spending money, any kind of money, even if for their own luxury. Been up on case with my rents... been nagging them to buy first class plane tix to here, and they think something is seriously wrong with my value system. "It's DOUBLE the cost, why 'waste' 1+ lakh .. rather put it to better use"... I was like 1+ lakh mein kiski kansi daal gal jayegi... Why go in a 16 hour flight suffering... but nopes...they are flying economy.

That was a nice movie, I recall.

There was another one from the same time - Fried Green Tomatoes.

I watched "Vicky Christina Barcelona" a couple of days ago. You may like it. I enjoyed it.
