Yes, but could not do darshan because I was wearing shorts (it was summer) and was informed after I reached the temple that doing darshan in short pants is not permitted. I found this rule a little silly considering that we have Naga Babas ( naked sadhus) in hinduism.

There is another temple in the Vellore fort which I went to and whose darshan I was able to do.

I don't know what to say about this temple...This temple came up out of the blue some years back.

Here is some details about Narayanipeedam - that built this temple, and about its spiritual leader Sree Sakthi amma

On May 8th, 1992, Amma proclaimed to the village that Amma is Goddess Narayani who has descended on earth. (She was only 16 at that time)

Can someone explain to me why I see only the picture of this Swamy and not that of the 36-yr old female spiritual leader Sakthi Amma ?

Why didn't you remove your shorts, when someone objected to them in the temple, and asked to take darshana like a naga baba?
