Which party will you vote for?
Party A: Believes in dividing the majority into smaller
pieces with each having gripes against the other. Thinks that getting elected
is more important than ethics, morals, merit, quality and efficiency of
governance. Is willing to bend rules for saying in power, uses governmental
agencies against enemies and to control not so friendly allies.
Party B: Believes in nationalism, economic development and a
uniform civil code irrespective of caste, religion and beliefs. Thinks that
some neighbors are out to bleed India with a thousand cuts and to foster
terrorism in the neighborhood. Thinks that the religion of the majority is
tolerant of others and should be fostered and believes that minorities that
don’t support this notion can leave the country.
Party C: Thinks that the root cause of India’s failure is
corruption at all levels and the country can only progress if the CBI, Lokpal, etc.,
are completely independent of the executive branch. Believes in decentralization of power and
empowerment of local governing councils. Thinks that policymaking should be based
on constant reevaluations with scientific gathering of information at all
levels.
Party D: This party’s membership is extremely brilliant.
They think that chaddis are for morons and that God created balls for breathing
and exposure to the elements. They use extremely complex evidence to
substantiate views during casual, friendly discussions on trivia. Some members cut
and paste internet-material hoping that their prestige is enhanced while they
pull the wool over the eyes of unsuspecting opponents. Others, who are masters
of all subjects, try and pour life into a pile of tiger bones.
