The TV series that I can watch over and over again and laugh at the jokes every time is Frasier. I am sure I have watched every episode (thanks Netflix), but I still watch random episodes from time to time and find them funny.

Both of these should have been on my list. I think have watched each of them at least three times, and can see myself watching them several more times in my life.Kris wrote:

Re: Movies i could watch over and over again
I don't have a list!
The urge to see a rerun is a function of
Ennui + Craving + Company + MomentOfTruth Clever Dialog as I switch to the channel (good will hunting) + Close-up of the heroine's pouted lips (demi), lisp (jodi), heaving bosom (scarlett), menacing eyes of anthony hopkins + interesting existential questions like 'what'll really get your goat is would the vase have fallen if I had not warned you about it"

Re: Movies i could watch over and over again
1. Z (that's the title, "zee" sounds better than "zed"; political thriller in french, greek production, i think);
2. proof (renowned mathematics professor going insane, cared for by daughter who is equally talented in mathematics, but doesn't fully recognize it; anthony hopkins, gwyneth paltrow, jake gyllenhaal; thrilling in an unusual way; recently a play);
3. good will hunting (the blooming of a young, talented mathematician who is a janitor at m.i.t.)
i might watch each of these once every five years, but haven't.

I have only seen good will hunting from your list. Talking about plays/broadway shows and movies that have been made into plays, "Doubt" is another one you might like. I loved it.

nonetheless a very good choice, sir! i especially loved ognismitriz keleri because of its intriguing plot and complex characters - a maple tree and a bicycle. and what can one say about that matserpiece - the opening scene? the secne in which you look at the maple tree for 17 minutes wondering what it is thinking about the bicycle? the pathbreaking cinematography by vlideszsk wojcik only adds to the quality of that scene*.
* that scene is followed by a 16-minute shot of the bicycle and then the movie ends. i haven't seen a better ending.

you think you can just break into the select group of great film watchers by bitorrerenting and netflixing like it were a commonplace amitabh or kamalhasan movie (not even a film, mind you....just a movie)? you sir are sadly mistaken.

ha ha ha. very nice. very nice. I remember the scene exactly as you had described it and had deeply contemplated the meaning of it with my chin resting on the finger steeple I made with both hands, for about 30 mins.
