I think Sara Boji / Sambarvada is the humblest. He never gets into any fights, even when people pick on him. Unlike Uppili or Maria, he doesn't fight back when attacked.

I don't think there is anyone humble on the CH currently. There used to be some incredibly humble people (imo) but that was many years ago.

I have been trying to run various handles thro my mind. It is impossible to be honest about one's personal info and yet write freely (avoiding controversies and fights).

I will say Sublime and Enna come close to being humble. Of course, if they reveal their true "self" to others, they are likely to be dragged into controversies and arguments within a short period (and thus lose their nominations).

That's the deal -- the humble get eaten by the not so humble. The idea of humility as a virtue has taken a thorough beating in western culture with the decrease in importance of the church (Catholicism in particular), but it continues to hold some appeal in our culture. But with each successive generation, it seems to be eroding in its appeal.

Anyone who posts on CH, by definition, can't be humble. Let's face it - we're an incredibly opinionated and egoistic lot.

A truly humble person would refrain from airing his or her views and opinions to the world at large in the belief that they are simply not worth airing. IMO, two of the worthies popularly thought of as paragons of humility - J Christ and M Gandhi - were skillful cultivators of the appearances of being humble but their actions showed little humility. Preaching and evangelizing are clear assertions of superiority of one's opinions and beliefs over others'.

OTOH. those who don't air their views to others may be doing so due to their belief that all others are dumb idiots not worthy of talking to.

That is why there may not be anyone truly humble and yet satisfying all other qualities, and we should limit to finding the humbLEST possible among the CHers.
