ICC abolishes runners, makes tweaks to ODIs

UDdeRS has been made mandatory, but ICC compromised on usage of ball tracking bowing to BCCI complaints.

So only snickometer and hotspot will be used to judge LBW. Ball tracking won't be used. I really doubt how hotspot and snicko will help give better LBW decisions.

new ODI rules: No runners allowed. powerplay to be taken between 16-40. different ball from each end.

No runners allowed with no mention of obvious injury related requirements. I understand the reluctance to provide a runner for a batsman who is cramping, but what about batsmen who get hurt and can't run. Do they not get a runner too?

I don't know if PP rule change will make any difference.

Different ball from each end will further erode the role of spinners in ODIs. Seamers will probably shine more.

No runners ? i cant fathom how an injured batsman would run , maybe the injured batsman must go out and let other batsman in and come back again when another batsman gets out

LOL. I don't think admins can restrict the size of gallery pictures, so I think it's only fair to jack up the limit on uploaded pictures. I MAY be able to disable the gallery pictures altogether -- is than an option people prefer more than increasing the size limit?

Run out rules tweaked too..

if you change direction while running to come between the throw and the fielder/wk collecting the throw, to prevent an obvious run out, then one is out.

SRT did that at the WC2011 and got away.
