First, households have expressed a desire to be protected against CPI inflation. Together with the government, we will issue Inflation Indexed Savings Certificates linked to the CPI New Index to retail investors by end- November 2013.

Finally, some relief for those living on Savings, Senior Citizens etc.. Let us hope the FD rates will be reasonable and citizens get to see some real returns from their fixed deposits instead of the almost negative (inflation adjusted) returns they get now.
 
Most likely, this will be accompanied by a reduction in FD rates, giving relief to industrialists, who can now get loans at a lower rate.
