Do you agree that the four rapists should be given death sentence?

They should be given death sentence simply because they murdered her by inserting rod into her vagina and removing the intestines.

Re: Delhi Convicts
unfortunate that a nation is baying for their blood. we're going back to hamurabi's times. I can't think of a single gain from their execution. let them labor in prison and earn their meals, put them in solitary confinement for a couple of years.
who knows if they were on PCP or some cocktail of drugs, or if they have mental illnesses etc. people want to see them executed and wash their hands off the death of this woman. in reality, our culture contributed to it, as well as just lack of probably good transporation, light and security (govt negligence). to execute them is not the answer and serves no purpose. they should stay alive as a reminder of our and the govt's irresponsibility.

Sorry.... one of the side-effects of punishment is to demonstrate other potential criminals. Swift execution using Prostatic Technique will teach others not to do such things.pravalika nanda wrote:unfortunate that a nation is baying for their blood. we're going back to hamurabi's times. Yes.. I agree you are noble, Gandhian, liberal and your views raise your IQ level. But, these guys must go in the most violent fashion.

I am not any of those things and I don't care for Gandhi. Doing away with them is not the solution and it certainly isn't a deterrent to the types of people who commit these ghastly crimes. We'd only be doing that for our self-satisfaction and what that nation needs to do is rise above this grave crime and forgive these people and not bay for their blood like wolves, we need to introspect and make real changes, we need to heal. killing them does not change anything.Marathadi-Saamiyaar wrote:Sorry.... one of the side-effects of punishment is to demonstrate other potential criminals. I think we gain far more by being compassionate, to them and to each other. more blood is not the answer.

I am with sister on this. Simply because execution or instant death is too easy. solitary confinement but the only issue is they should find some loophole and get out, helped by some crook of a lawyer or a politician or both.

Is there any data on the countries which have capital punishment for rape about the rape per population or whether it has deterred the crime? I am sure PP would give it here if he sees this post.

India can save the tax money and spending for other smaller criminals. These 4 deserve nothing less than a noose on December 29th.

But, is there a study to show that cap punishment has or has not helped prevent rod-through-vagina killing crimes?FluteHolder wrote:http://spotonlists.com/crime/10-countries-which-gives-most-severe-punishment-for-rape/

Re: Delhi Convicts
if you can forgive modi and the people who murdered civilians for him, then you can forgive these guys too. execution is not the way to go, they're already in prison, indinas need to figure how not to let this happen again.Marathadi-Saamiyaar wrote:But, is there a study to show that cap punishment has or has not helped prevent rod-through-vagina killing crimes?FluteHolder wrote:http://spotonlists.com/crime/10-countries-which-gives-most-severe-punishment-for-rape/
