Btw although I find what Seeman did a mere  tamasha, I fully support the concept of simple and short marriage with no lavish spending for dress, dowry,  jewelry, food etc. No need for any priests, matras etc.

Who is that couple? There were so many huge huge cut outs/banners/posters of them all over the mount road. Almost all of them had Prabhakaran's pictures. and then there were also pictures of bharatiyar, subash chandra bose, some old man with a beard, a european guy with shoulder length hair etc. in the posters. I asked my SIL what they were abt and she said it may have to do something with community mass weddings.

not wedding pix, but i guess the writing on those suggested that it has to do something with the wedding. we were going in a car and i guess my sil didn't have enough chance to drive and also read what's on them (tamil not being her mother tongue).

Could be Periyar EV RAmaswamy but I dont's think Seeman (the bridegroom in the weding) likes Periyar. So I am not sure of the bearded man.
