two people are sleeping together?

So, I am good friends with a woman whose husband works in this town. She's in Europe with her two kids traveling for pleasure right now. He's here in town and busy working.

I stopped by his office today with lunch for him (a salad, salmon, mashed potatoes, and an oatmeal cookie). The same lunch I made for DH.

I kind of got the feeling he was too flirtatious with his nurse AND he was in his office with her and the door was closed. Not locked, but closed. This made me suspicious.

I have made it absolutely clear to my husband that he absolutely cannot close his office door if a woman is in there with him. Not even halfway close it, or quarter-way. I'm sure my friend has discussed all of this with her husband.

I'm going to stop by with more lunches at his home and office this weekend and next week to find out what he's upto. Also, plan on inviting him for dinner to our house this weekend to get a better idea of who he really is and how he's been spending his evenings while his family is in Europe.

This man is in his fifties and old. I'm friends with his wife (not the type of friends who spend a lot of time together, but she's nice to talk to whenever I see her type of friends). DH knows I'm making lunches for both of them. That's what people in this town do. If someone's wife goes out of town, it's common courtesy to invite him over for a meal or stop by with some food.

Our cop stopped by and I asked him what he knows about the old man and his nurse, and that they were in an office with a completely closed door.

He said it's not too difficult to find out if something's going on. He knows what car the old guy drives, what car his wife drives, and what car the nurse drives (make, model, year, color, and tag numbers). He knows where they live too. So, he will drive by their houses in the late evenings and early mornings to check out their driveways. If any car that doesn't belong over there is parked in the driveway at that late or early hour, then it's a red flag. Can't wait to find out what he finds out!

Cops can always park on Main St. with flashing lights on (or should not in this case), but this story tells us that Main St. also has public parking.

Not sure if public parking is on one side of Main St. or both sides.

This eerily reminds of an episode called "Scandal" something in the rosemary and thyme series. anyway, what was for lunch? what did YOU eat? where did you EAT? what? my concern is my concern, ok:-) My stakeout food would have been cold pizza and a can of diet soda. just saying.

The cop stops by the homes of hundreds of people to check on them and say hello DURING THE DAY. Is he sleeping with everyone he speaks with while standing on their porch? I don't think so! This particular kid has parents and grandparents who know my extended family AND his family members have been DH's patients, his brother is a pharmacist who takes care of DH's patients, and he is a husband and dad.

hahaha...that is what I thought... she has complete health care connection and connection to law enforcement... That means she can break laws and use healthcare to a limited extent.

Why would any wife do that? Has it anything to do with your concern for him getting sued for sexual harassment? If that is the case, is he not old enough and educated enough to use his common sense? Does he need his wife to make it absolutely clear abt such things?
If you do that out of your suspicion abt him having an affair, then you got serious problems. You got to work on yourself. A suspicious and controlling wife is a pain to any husband.

Who your friend's husband sleeps or flirts with is none of your business. Leave him and the nurse alone!

my doctor has. i once had trouble breathing..i felt like i wasn't getting enough oxygen. so the doctor called me in right away. made me take deep breaths and blow this machine and the red ball inside went up to a certain mark/meausrement. turned out my oxygen absorption was 99%. he told me that's as good as it gets.
the way i remember it, the door was closed the whole time.

That is HER wifely condition. But, I am sure he is super smart. While saying yes honey, he does the opposite.... But, it is an established rule - with HIPPA and other crap - the doctor close the door so as to protect the patient's privacy. With the door open, the doc is inviting privacy violation lawsuits from patients. In fact, if you are discussing anything about a patient you better do it behind a closed door.

he is assuming too much...he means did the nurse accompany the doc only for PAP Smears....Ignore.... It can be some skin infection or lump on the thigh, butt or breast and still a nurse will accompany the doc.

At least Vanity Fair makes an effort to be somewhat intelligent and their fashion is to die for, but the NY Daily News is a nothing but a tabloid and it's been around for over one hundred years (and thrived during the Great Depression).

Kinnera: Relationships are all about establishing boundaries. If you don't communicate what your boundaries are, then how can you expect your spouse to read your mind and stay within those boundaries? Heck, even my dogs know not to enter my kitchen because I will sternly say "Stop! Out!" and now they both know it's not okay, and they listen (they're such good dogs). If someone crosses those boundaries, they need to realize that you will cut them out of your life and find someone else.

Seven: The laws vary by state. In my state, DH's nurse has to be in the room with the patient and him. Even if that weren't so, I wouldn't be worried. By the time they end up in DH's care, they're morbidly obese (if they are slim, they have some genetic health problems), they're not too far away from a massive heart attack or they've just had one.

My husband rarely has to touch his patients or see any exposed body parts because the medical community in his specialty is moving away from invasive procedures and moving toward more drugs. If he does do an invasive procedure, he's more focused on doing the procedure perfectly than on the patient.

I know of one triangle. There was this suspicious but otherwise very fit and sexy girlfriend of this sneaking but otherwise very fit and sexy guy. He was having an affair with this fat aunty right under her nose. The hottie girlfriend didn't suspect them even once, coz behind the scenes they both made fun of the fatty aunty's whaleness.

Not sure what's the connection of that story with this thread. Guess when you said obese confidently, it triggered an old memory. Not that I condone the cheating of that boyfriend of the vain hottie, but the situation was funny when you look at it as an outsider.

Umm, okay. Most morbidly sick people are not thinking about sleeping with their physician. Besides, when you're a few weeks, months, or years away from a massive heart attack, there is no sex drive left due to health complications caused by obesity (diabetes, hypertension, liver failure, cholesterol, blockages). The medications used to treat these problems kills any and all interest in sex too. Just one of those side effects.

G3: I would read the Clean Eating Diet by Tosca Reno. Indian vegetarians, in general, have higher cholesterol than Indian meat eaters. It has to do with all that rice and wheat consumed. Basically, pasta, bread, rice, and beer are evil SUGAR that will pile on the pounds. We weren't supposed to eat so much of it unless we were doing manual labor all day.
