TN: Woman 'confesses' to husband's murder in reality show, surrenders Press Trust of India
A 38-year old woman, who confessed in a Tamil television reality show to abetting the murder of her husband by her paramour, surrendered before the police five months after the incident, which was initially treated as a case of suicide.
D Sumathi was produced in a court in Tiruvarur district and remanded to judicial custody recently. Two days after her surrender, her alleged paramour T Rajan (49) also surrendered and was remanded to judicial custody, police said.
The victim 46-year old S Dhanasekar was a headmaster in a government school and his wife Sumathi was also a teacher in another government-aided school, both in Tiruvarur district.
Sumathi had, along with Rajan, allegedly poisoned to death her husband on May 14 at their house in Marakadai.
S Kannadasan, brother of the victim, claimed that soon after his brother's death, Sumathi herself admitted to the crime to family members, pricked by conscience. Later, she confessed to the crime in the TV show a few weeks ago.
Police said murder charge has been slapped against Sumathi and Rajan.

Sumathi spilled the beans that Rajan, a teacher in the same school and she conspired to eliminate her husband Dhanasekaran, as he was bothering Sumathi after he came to know their alleged extra-marital affair.
As per plan, Sumathi brought up an argument with her husband and left to her parent’s home. Later Rajan entered into the house when Dhanasekaran was asleep and injected with a poison with the help of a doctor and killed him.
She further told that there have been a couple of failed attempts of killing her husband earlier. In the first attempt Rajan had setup goons to hit and run with a car when Dhanasekaran was riding on his bike. But Dhanakasekaran escaped with minor injuries.
In the second attempt, Rajan with a help of a doctor injected Dhanasekaran with a poison-filled syringe, but his relatives took him to the hospital and saved him.
>>> I don't know what this sucker saw in her. She looks horrible in the picture.
Some failed M.B.B.S doctors are now becoming accessories to murder.
