I posted the 2007 article because Modi fanboys continue to find it relevant as can be seen in the comments section in the article. They are slamming the article right up till today in the comments section.Marathadi-Saamiyaar wrote:You mean it is not old enough - like you post 2007 and 2005 news?Rashmun wrote:This is a 10 month old news.Vakavaka Pakapaka wrote:So, will CONmen go ape shit now? Those people murdered Smt. Indira Gandhi not in a war or a battle.
Attacking an unarmed women by acting as her confidants and killing
mercilessly is an act of cowardice. It is a blemish in the history of
the Sikhism. It is a shame to honor those killers whatever the reason
Akal Thakt has an argument. They are also going to be alienated in the
hearts of millions of Indians.

Indira Gandhi indulged in anti-national activity by creating Bindranwale - for her narrow selfish interests - and letting him kill hindus, then sikhs get killed by her party under her son's leadership.Rishi wrote:Those people murdered Smt. Indira Gandhi not in a war or a battle.

Bindranwale-Perunjsiththiranar coalese against Indian military occupation of their respective homelands.
2. Sikh-Tamil Collaborations of the Past
During the early 1980s there was an attempt to establish some collaboration and cooperation between Sikhs and Tamils in their respective struggle for freedom from Indian rule.
During the early 1980s when the great Sikh freedom fighter Sant Jarnail Singh Khalsa Bhindranwale was still alive, two of his representatives visited the office of the Tamil writer-poet-editor Perunchithiranar in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This Perunchithiranar has championed the cause of a free Tamil Nadu through his speeches and his prolific writings since the late 1950s. Mr. Bhindranwale's representatives invited him to visit Punjab and give a series of speeches at various places in support of Khalistan. Perunchithiranar agreed. He was eager to visit Punjab and establish a liaison between Sikhs and Tamils. But, before the tour materialized, in 1984, the then Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi sent the Indian army into the Amritsar Golden Temple and killed Mr. Bhinderwalle and many other freedom fighters during Operation Blue Star.
Perunchithiranar wrote and published some articles supporting the Sikh freedom struggle in Tamil magazines. I myself published a Tamil article "Sikh's Thirst for Freedom" in the Tamil magazine Tamil Nilam (March 1991). Perunchithiranar passed away in 1995.

She used him to bring down the Akali dal government. But the monster turned on her. Nobody expected that. I think it was socialism that was the problem. There were a lot of Sikh youth who were unemployed. Naturally they were drawn to Bhindranwale.

Inviting a foreign leader to your capital for talks and when he refused to sign on the dotted lines, put him in hotel arrest is great bravery, I suppose.Rishi wrote:Those people murdered Smt. Indira Gandhi not in a war or a battle.

Could such a thing happen in the USA -- people in a church, mosque or temple honoring John Wilks Boothe or Osama Bin Ladin?Rishi wrote:Those people murdered Smt. Indira Gandhi not in a war or a battle.
