"aleph" or "alef" also happens to be first letter of Urdu, Arabic etc.
Also, the Urdu primer is known as "Quaida":-) Smile

Beth happens to be the second letter of the alphabet in Hebrew.

with a last name like millipede, they have to put a lot of thought into the first name. either that or reconcile to the fact that it does not matter what they name the kid.
