RAIPUR: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Saturday subtly took on Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi, for his recent outbursts against Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar as well as his unrelenting attack on Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, and said that opposition leaders were resorting to "cheap tactics" in their lust to gain power.

Addressing Congress workers here, Singh, without naming Modi, said some opposition leaders were using bad language against "other leaders and chief ministers" to gain cheap publicity and it did not bring dignity. His obvious reference was to Modi's recent public statements, including the one at Jagdalpur, in which he accused Nitish Kumar of being a "backstabber and traitor".

Advising the opposition to refrain from such "sasti rajniti" (cheap politics), Singh said the Congress would never resort to such tactics. Dubbing the BJP as "communal", Singh said its leaders were trying to project themselves as secular to fool the people................

Well MMS apparently forgot OR is a blatant liar, because everybody knows the kind of statements Sonia and her Coterie called NM during the Gujarat elections, and even now allegedly  use cronies like Javed Akhtar, diggy etc.. to bad mouth him. Elections in India or for that matter in any democratic country is Ugly. It is Ok for Congress to do the same, but not ok for Opposition ? Congress, in their desperation is becoming dictatorial!
