earlier CIA used to kill leaders who were to create trouble... not sure if presidents were in on that or not...

But why would Obama give orders to kill Osama? Does he have the permissions/rights? Can a coutnry participating in UNO do this? Couldn't they have sought to catch and try him?

Any political rules supporting this action?

As a man of God, I think Osama did what Lord Krishna did to the Gauravas.

Do what you have to do and what is expected of you (and then simply justify).

Isn't that the law followed practically by anyone with power ?

What about shoot at sight orders when riots happen? Or cop killing someone in self defence. you can always argue that this was an armed confrontation, else they would ahve just captured him. I am sure Osama must ahve declared war somewhere and they can use it to justify the killing as a legal argument.
