I guess Indians have redefined "indefinite" to mean "not very definite." Indefinite fast is when one fasts in a tentative, noncommittal sort of way, like between lunch and afternoon snacks. If something interesting shows up, one breaks that fast and eats the interesting thing, and then resumes the fast right until afternoon snacks are served.

I hate this concept of fasting for a purpose!

I hope, one of these fasters dies of a heart attack or something while fasting. That will put an end to this bullshit/non-sense.

Fasting is nothing more than emotional blackmail. It was started by India's father of the nation.

Only two people are recorded to have died from fasting for a political cause so far in India.
