"Remove the corrupt officials or else face expulsion" - Olympics to India. It's high time. Remember how they brought shame to India a few years ago wrt Asian Games. It appears they still continue with corruption.

Indians may try that tack, but its not going to work. IOC is asking for no govt. interference in Indian Olympic body elections, and removal of all people who had been previously charged with some crime or other (they do not need to be convicted, just "charged" is enough). IOC has all the info on who they are, and probably they are letting India to deal with the problem on its own, or the corrupt officials to "voluntarily" quit (fat chance) and get saved from the disgrace.
